He had a partnership with George S. Lawrence 1864-1867. He was an early publisher of stereo and landscape scenes of California and Nevada views. He had his gallery at 317 & 319 Montgomery Street, San Francisco. Holdings: Mission San Juan Bautista Stereoscopic # 36 and Main Street, Santa Cruz # 45 48 other Thomas Houseworth views Johnson's Daguerreian Rooms, San Francisco - Circa 1853 San Francisco 20th Century photo gallery.
